Teams are groups of volunteers working together on specific projects or areas of focus. Being part of a team helps you collaborate more effectively and contribute to larger initiatives.
How Teams Work
Team Structure
Each team has a team leader who coordinates activities, assigns tasks, and helps team members. Regular members contribute to team goals by completing tasks.
Team Tasks
Teams have dedicated tasks that members can claim. Some tasks may be assigned to specific team members by the team leader.
Team Progress
Track your team's collective progress including total tasks completed, points earned, and goals achieved.
Types of Teams
Writing, editing, and creating educational content
Translating materials between English and Bengali
Community engagement and awareness campaigns
Gathering data and conducting research
Joining a Team
- Browse available teams from the Volunteers page
- Click on a team to see its details and current members
- If the team is accepting new members, you'll see a "Join Team" button
- Some teams may require approval from the team leader
- Once accepted, you'll see the team in your dashboard
Note: You may be automatically assigned to a team based on your skills and interests mentioned in your volunteer application.
Team Communication
Stay connected with your team members:
- View team member profiles and contact information
- See announcements from your team leader
- Check team activity and recent updates
- Coordinate on shared tasks
Team Leaderboard
Teams compete on a separate leaderboard! Work together to earn points and climb the ranks:
- Team points = sum of all member contributions
- Top teams are featured on the volunteers page
- Team achievements unlock special recognition
- Monthly top team gets highlighted
Being a Good Team Member
- Communicate openly with team members
- Complete tasks on time when possible
- Help other team members when you can
- Keep your team leader updated on your progress
- Participate in team discussions and decisions
