Working on Tasks
Tasks are the heart of volunteering. By completing tasks, you contribute to the movement and earn points that reflect your impact. This guide covers everything you need to know about finding, claiming, and completing tasks.
Finding Tasks
Available Tasks
Browse open tasks from your dashboard or team page. Available tasks are those that haven't been claimed yet.
Team Tasks
Some tasks are exclusive to specific teams. Check your team's task list for dedicated assignments.
Assigned Tasks
Team leaders may assign tasks directly to you. These appear in your "My Tasks" section.
Understanding Task Details
Each task includes:
- Title
- A brief name describing the task
- Description
- Detailed instructions on what needs to be done
- Points
- How many points you'll earn upon completion
- Difficulty
- Easy, Medium, or Hard - helps you choose appropriate tasks
- Due Date
- Deadline for completion (if applicable)
Claiming a Task
- Browse available tasks
- Click on a task to view its full details
- Make sure you understand the requirements
- Click "Claim Task" to assign it to yourself
- The task moves to your "My Tasks" list
Tip: Only claim tasks you're confident you can complete. You can unclaim a task if needed, but try to avoid doing this frequently.
Completing a Task
Do the Work
Complete the task according to the instructions provided.
Submit Your Work
Click "Submit" and provide any required deliverables or proof of completion.
Await Review
Some tasks require review by a team leader or admin before approval.
Earn Points
Once approved, points are added to your total and the task is marked complete.
