Managing your profile and account settings
Your Account
Creating an account gives you additional features like voting on content, leaving comments, and managing your profile. Here's everything you need to know about managing your account.
Creating an Account
- Click "Login" in the navigation bar
- Enter your email address
- You'll receive a one-time password (OTP) via email
- Enter the OTP to verify your email
- Your account is created automatically!
Note: We use passwordless login for your security. Each time you log in, you'll receive a new OTP via email.
Logging In
- Click "Login" in the navigation bar
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for the one-time password
- Enter the OTP within 10 minutes
- You're logged in!
Tip: If you don't receive the OTP email, check your spam folder or try requesting a new one.
Managing Your Profile
To update your profile information:
- Log in to your account
- Click on your email address in the navigation bar
- Select "Profile Settings"
- Update your information (name, bio, avatar)
- Click "Save Changes"
Profile Information
Display Name
The name shown on your comments and profile page.
Username
Your unique identifier used in your profile URL.
Bio
A short description about yourself visible on your profile.
Avatar
Your profile picture shown next to your comments.
Viewing Your Public Profile
Your public profile shows your name, bio, and activity. Others can view it at /profile/your-username. You can preview how others see your profile from your settings page.
Logging Out
To log out, click the "Logout" button in the navigation bar. You'll be logged out of your current session. For security, always log out when using shared or public computers.
