Background: What is the July Shonod?

The July National Charter 2025 (জুলাই সনদ) is a political declaration based on consensus between 30 political parties and the interim government over constitutional, electoral, and administrative reforms following the July Revolution in 2024. It was signed on 17 October 2025 at South Plaza of the National Parliament by 25 political parties.

The July 2024 Revolution

The July Revolution was a mass uprising in Bangladesh in July 2024 that led to the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government.
